Jeep High Line Fender Braces with DRLs JL/JT (AAL)

Description

The new version of American Adventure Lab (AAL) Jeep High-Line Fender Braces with DRLs are classified as a Certified American Original™. AAL is one of the most innovative companies we have come across in our search for the best America has to offer. These high-line fender braces allow you to gut those factory flares and gain much needed clearance when running big tires. Perhaps more importantly, you add some serious style to your rig. I hope the design engineers at Jeep® are paying attention. Because, this is what the flares should have been when they came off the factory floor. And, this new partnership with one of our favorite lighting brands, Diode Dynamics, means that these DRLs get an increased American made score from our team. AAL has also created a set for you to use on non-high line fenders as well. Just note though, that they will not work on the full paint flares like the ones on the left in the photo below.

When it was time to start modifying Project All-American Gladiator, these brackets were the first item ordered. We don’t mind aftermarket fenders. Heck, we even run flare deletes depending on where we’re headed. But, you cannot beat the look these give your ride.

Upgraded the factory full-paint overland flares to Rubicon/Mojave High-Lines, gutted them and installed the AAL braces. Factory Overland flares (left), high lines gutted and braced (right). You can get Jeep high line fender braces for Sport and Overland flares as well, but you can see the clearance gained by upgrading to the Rubicon/Mojave factory flares.

Accessorize

Don’t forget to grab a set of AAL Fender Retention Hardware and some new inner fender liners. You won’t regret getting rid of the plastic clips, and the stock inner fender liners will require some custom work if you prefer to reuse them. Don’t worry if you do though, AAL has some suggestions from the community on doing exactly that! We run the Artec JL5110 inner fender liners because that Artec flag was too good to pass up. The inner liners from AAL offer a clean look as well, and TBH, we wish we had that DZUS set up on our rig. Additionally, and you’ll see this trend when you shop at AAL, their liners DO NOT REQUIRE DRILLING! The most amazing thing about AAL innovations is how often you are taking advantage of stock mounting points or holes.

Our install

This video shows the first generation DRLs. We’ve just ordered the next-gen and we’ll definitely update this video for you when we get them installed. Sequential turn signals are such a great feature.
